Norfolk, VA – 10/14/25 – Swarm Wave Records and the band Shower Cry are excited to announce the release of their long-awaited debut album, For Those Who’ve Lost Everything They Love, available for direct purchase on November 8th, 2025 via Bandcamp. This 8-song, 11-Track collection highlights the band’s signature blend of shoegaze with a heavy influence of twang and sludge undertones. The record pulls you through an atmospheric yearning of love, surviving loss, and the knowing that life has more to offer.
During a week at Virginia’s Sill & Glade Cabin, For Those Who’ve Lost Everything They Love was recorded working with producer Jacob McCoy (of Captive Birds.) The album weaves heavy textures, pulsing drums, and vulnerable lyrics into a soundscape of reckoning, release, and renewal. It balances the ache of memory with the hope of what’s next – a sonic meditation on what it means to grow up, again.
“We came together to create this record as four people on a pivotal journey of exploration and realizations of why we love shoegaze. We deeply explored how we all felt as artists at this juncture in our lives at the cabin. This record is about accepting how far you’ve come and combing the depths of yourself to carry on with hope in the future,” says bassist/vocalist, Anna Fitzgerald. “We’re honored to have had the experience together as a band, and that fans can let the music wash over them revealing something new…or leaving something behind.”
The record was mixed by Matt Whiteford of shoegaze band, Cigarettes for Breakfast, and mastered by Ryan Schwabe of Schwabe Digital.
About the band Shower Cry:
Shower Cry is a shoegaze band formed in Norfolk, VA and known for their dynamic sound, textured layers, cathartic themes, and immersive live performances. Formed in 2021 by Cheyne Greene and Anna Fitzgerald, the writing pair found Joshua Whittle (of Captive Birds) and Jordan Trotter (of Community Witch.) The band built a loyal local following through intimate emotionally charged shows and community of music-lovers. This debut marks the first time their sound is available beyond the stage.
